I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and board certified clinical art therapist. I earned my masters degree in marriage and family therapy and clinical art therapy from Loyola Marymount University in 1996. I served as a trainee at Northridge hospital medical center in both the intensive day treatment and inpatient psychiatric programs that specialized in children and adolescents. I also received training at the HELP group working intensively with severely emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and their families. Following graduation I began my work with Pacific Clinics, the largest non-profit mental health agency in California. I was part of a team that founded a school based intensive day treatment program, and founded the clinical art therapy component of the program. For the past decade I have been the program director for the day treatment intensive program in Pasadena, California. In addition to my formal education, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families with a variety of social, emotional and behavioral difficulties in the home, school and community environments.
My treatment approach is to help families improve their challenges and life transitions. I work to build authentic and trusting relationships with each individual and family that I work with. I take a comprehensive approach to working with children and their parents as a whole. I incorporate creativity through self expression while working toward solution focused results.
Hello,
We haven’t formally met, but I recently came across your practice and thought it would be a great idea to connect. My name is Alexis Guzman and I am a Registered Behavior Technician at Grow ABA. We specialize in providing ABA therapy throughout Los Angeles County & Ventura County with a focus on early intervention for children. We also offer telehealth services to accommodate the varying needs of families.
Our team is dedicated to supporting children ages 2-21 in developing essential skills in communication, social interaction, and adaptive learning. By working together, we can ensure that your patients receive the individualized support they need to thrive both at home and in their communities. We are in-network with most major health plans, including Medi-cal.
If you have any families who could benefit from our services, I would love to discuss how we can collaborate to support their developmental needs. Please feel free to reach out to Nikki, Grow ABA’s Cofounder, at Nikki@Grow-ABA or (818) 851-9213.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to work together. I look forward to the possibility of making a positive impact on the lives of your patients.
Sincerely,
